Sign Language Interpretation
Mill Neck Interpreter Service offers on site interpreting, where our professional and highly skilled interpreters will come to your location for face-to-face meetings, 365 days a year.
Video Remote Interpreting
Video remote interpreting is the act of interpreting over a technology platform rather than having a live interpreter come to your workspace. Our interpreters are able to join across a variety of platforms. We are able to provide a HIPAA compliant Zoom meeting in order to service your needs. We provide interpreters for medical appointments, business meetings, K-12 and college classes through this advancement in technology.
Mill Neck Interpreter Service provides a variety of professional development and workshops for the interpreting community, as well as the community at large. If you are interested in receiving information regarding future workshops, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Advocacy is work that aims to influence decisions within political, economic and social systems. Mill Neck is an advocate for the Deaf Community—we work hard to support and educate others about the needs of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing communities.
CART stands for Communication Access Real-Time translation and is most easily described as subtitles for live discussions. Spoken language is translated by either on-site or remote transcribers into text and displayed in various ways, i.e., computer screen, video screen during live presentations, etc.
